Miyake Pattern

For those of you that were in Melody's class in the Hudson Valley, this is the pattern (Issey Miyake for Vogue)she used for her marbled fabric shirt that we all loved. I made this one from the linen/rayon. I love the pattern but I need to tweak it a little to suit me....and I need to find some great buttons...so this will sit until I get into the City in June.
As you can see it has a very asymmetrical bottom...and the sleeves are great. I always shied away from Miyake patterns but upon closer scrutiny he has some not-so-out-there designs, a number of which I'm going to try, if I can get my hands on some of the older, out-of -print Vogue patterns.

Thanks for posting that shirt Marcia. What parts are you tweaking? The sleeves are my guess. I found mine too narrow at the wrist and way too long.

Yes Mel...I don't want to bother with the button, cuff and extension...so I'm cutting the sleeve without that and I think I'll put a facing on the bottom, so I can wear it straight or turn it up a bit. I love the way the sleeve is cut and inserted though ... so I don't want to change that. I have to play with it.
